John is an award-winning NZ photojournalist, award-winning magazine editor and technology journalist, as well as an internationally acclaimed digital photography tutor, workshop presenter and conference speaker. He is founding editor of South East Asia`s largest photography magazine. Exciting assignments take John all over the world and he has just returned from 2 months in India. He is the final phase of completing a Masters of Fine Arts degree in Dunedin.

This is a hands-on workshop where the participants will learn how to expand the colour and narrative value of their pictures.John will investigate how to expand the story-telling capabilities contained in your photos, and through a series of pracctical exercises will show you how to expand your travel/documentary photography skills in and around the scenic Hanmer Springs area. He will help students create great images for competitions and publication.
