Jane has been a tutor at Autumn School several times. She is a Kaiapoi based textile artist. Most of her work is from a base of hand embroidery. Jane hand-dyes a range of embroidery kits.
Jane is obsessive about her work and loves tutoring and exhibiting.
This class is for Intermediate and above. Students will learn how to attach the fabric to a rectangular frame and how to hand stitch,pad and embellish a design that is reprinted onto a cotton background.
Mounting your finished piece and construction for a bag or cushion will be discussed.
Material Costs:-
$80.00 - This includes a full kit and instructions(step by step)
in a kit bag, supplied by Jane.
You will need to bring:
1. Beading and embroidery needles and darning needle.
2. Usual sewing kit,scissors etc.
3. 30 x 40cm frame to work in, Jane will have these available for $10.00 each.
